More about Geodes
Geodes are spherical rocks that contain hollow cavities lined with crystals. The name geode comes from the Greek word Geodies which means “earth like.” Most geodes contain clear quartz crystals but you do get some with Amethyst, Agate and Jasper just to name a few. The fun part is, there is no way of telling what is inside the Geode until gets cut open or broken apart.

The Blue Agate Geode Bookends is a really quaint, beautiful set of cut crystal geodes which display the fascinating inner world of the geode on two sides while the third is a roughly textured outside which contrasts nicely with the two highly polished inner faces. That inner world consists of a rich blue core and it is surrounded by rings of dense clear & opaque crystals… The two bookends are things of fascination, eye catching & entrancing, I love mine!

I love the look of these and the colours are divine – they need to hold steady hardbacks and not too heavy books
